The useful version first: your purchase lets you build, modify, and use exported sound fields in unlimited personal and commercial end products. You may not share, resell, or republish the Builder itself.

Redistribute the instrument.

Share, sell, sublicense, or upload the Builder itself.
Offer it as a hosted service, template, or competing tool.
Publish its source files or substantial portions of them.
Represent the Builder as your own product.

01 Refunds & delivery problems

We want you to receive a working product.

Because Ambient Field Builder is an immediately delivered digital download, purchases are generally final once the files have been accessed. If the download was not delivered, the supplied file is materially defective, or the Builder will not run in a current supported desktop browser, email us.

We will assess the issue and provide troubleshooting, a replacement, or a refund where appropriate or required by law. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

Purchases made through a storefront are also subject to that storefront's buyer and payment terms. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for purchases processed through its checkout. Read the current Lemon Squeezy Buyer Terms.

02 Product support

Tell us what happened.

Email support@softvoltage.com with the email used for the purchase, your order number, operating system, browser, and a short description of the problem. A screenshot or exact error message is helpful when one exists.

Support covers download access, opening the Builder in a supported browser, and repeatable product defects. It does not include custom coding, project integration, bespoke sound design, or guaranteed feature development.

Ambient Field Builder commercial license

This license applies to Ambient Field Builder (the “Builder”) and the standalone JavaScript sound fields it exports (“Exported Fields”). By downloading, installing, copying, or using the Builder, you agree to these terms.

1. Your license to the Builder

Soft Voltage Studio grants you a personal, non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable license to use the Builder for your own personal or commercial creative work. You may install and use your purchased copy on devices that you personally own or control, and you may keep reasonable backup copies.

2. Your license to Exported Fields

You may use, copy, modify, and include Exported Fields in an unlimited number of your own personal or commercial end products, including websites, games, installations, videos, and interactive experiences.

You may distribute an Exported Field as part of an end product. You may hire collaborators or contractors to work with an Exported Field for your end product, provided they do not retain or reuse it for unrelated projects unless they have their own license.

Attribution to Soft Voltage Studio is appreciated but not required.

3. What you may not do

You may not:

sell, sublicense, share, publish, upload, or redistribute the Builder itself, whether modified or unmodified;
make the Builder available to others as a hosted service, downloadable tool, shared account, template, marketplace item, or competing product;
distribute the Builder's source files or substantial portions of them outside your own licensed use;
represent the Builder as your own product; or
use the Builder or an Exported Field in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights.

This section does not prevent you from distributing Exported Fields inside genuine end products as permitted in section 2.

4. Ownership

The Builder, its interface, documentation, branding, and underlying source code remain the intellectual property of Soft Voltage Studio. Your purchase grants a license to use the product; it does not transfer ownership of the Builder.

You retain ownership of the original material you add to your own end products. No exclusivity is granted in sounds, settings, presets, code patterns, or results produced with the Builder, and other users may create similar results.

5. Updates and support

Your purchase does not include a subscription. Soft Voltage Studio may provide corrections, updates, or support, but does not promise perpetual updates, compatibility, new features, or support for every browser, operating system, or third-party platform.

6. Warranty disclaimer

The Builder and Exported Fields are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soft Voltage Studio disclaims warranties not expressly stated in writing, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You are responsible for testing your end products, choosing appropriate volume levels, keeping backups, and confirming compatibility with the browsers and devices you support.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soft Voltage Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the Builder or Exported Fields.

Soft Voltage Studio's total liability relating to the Builder will not exceed the amount you paid for the license.

Nothing in this license excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

8. Termination

This license ends if you materially breach these terms and do not correct the breach after receiving reasonable notice when correction is possible. When the license ends, you must stop using and delete your copies of the Builder. End products and Exported Fields that were lawfully created and distributed before termination may remain in use unless they themselves violate these terms.

9. General terms

This license is the complete agreement concerning use of the Builder unless Soft Voltage Studio gives you different terms in writing. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

This license is governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Ontario have jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer rights that apply where you live.
